How members opt in

BarDown is a hockey team management app. Adding a mobile number is optional and is not required to use the app or to join a team — members can use every feature without providing a number.

A member who chooses to add their number does so on their own profile screen (Profile → Edit Profile → Mobile Number). A dedicated SMS consent notice appears directly at that field, and the member opts in specifically to receive transactional text reminders. Opting in is never a condition of using any feature.

What we send

• Transactional only — RSVP/attendance reminders for upcoming games and schedule-change alerts. No marketing.
• Sender-limited — only a member's own team manager can message that team's members.
• Frequency varies with the team's game schedule.

Opt-out & help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by removing your number / turning off SMS notifications in the app. After opting out you receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or email support@bardownapp.com.

Message & data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We do not share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in with third parties for their own marketing.
